First LATAM Aircraft Already in Painting Stage – See photos

Believe me, some people have realized during the commercials on TV, Internet and especially on social media campaigns on the new LATAM brand being built! The photographer Wood AeroImages recorded pictures of the first plane that receive the visual identity of LATAM, the aircraft is in the painting process at the Boeing plant in Everett, Washington State, USA. The 787-9 Dreamliner (C/N 38474), initially ordered by LAN, arrived in the evening of Wednesday (30) to the Boeing paint hangar. For a good observer, you can already see the first signs of LATAM colors rudder and vertical stabilizer, although still partially covered to keep the secret. According to the latest Airbus Global Market Forecast (GMF), Latin America will need 2,540 new passenger and freighter aircraft between 2015 and 2034, to meet long term growth in the region.  This demand includes 1,990 single-aisle and 550 widebody like the A330, A3350 XWB and A380, worth an estimated US$330 billion. For the Latin American market Boeing predicts that airlines in Latin America will need 3,050 new aircraft worth $ 350 billion in the next two decades, tripling the size of the current fleet in the region. “Over the long term, Latin American economies will grow faster than the rest of the world,” said Donna Hrinak, President, Boeing Latin America. “This growth will create increased passenger traffic in the region and drive Latin American airlines to expand and compete for business that has traditionally been dominated by foreign operators.” To meet increased passenger traffic, Boeing forecasts the region will require more than 2,500 new single-aisle airplanes over the next 20 years, reflecting the continued growth of low-cost carriers and further expansion of networks in the region. The commercial aircraft market in India has become as preferred by aircraft Airbus consolidated in 2015 with 250 new firm orders, raising the market share of orders and fleet in service for more than 70 percent. Air India will Operate with the A320neo – India Aviation 2016

Airbus has announced Air India as a future operator of the A320neo from 2017. Air India and ALAFCO just signed an operating lease for 14 A320neo aircraft. The request was made official in India Aviation 2016 which is taking place in Hyderabad, India – International aviation fair started yesterday (March, 16) and ends on the 20th. With this agreement the A320neo will offer to Air India a reduction of 15% in fuel consumption, noise reduction and environmental impact, offering its passengers the best in class comfort. Today Air India operates 66 A320 Family aircraft, including 22 Airbus A319s, 24 Airbus A320 and 20 A321. Air India was the first airline in India to operate the A320 for 27 years.

Boeing Delivers 737 to Nok Air and Offers Training to its Pilots

Boeing delivered to Nok Air its 21 Boeing 737-800 NG (Next-Generation) during a ceremony at the Delivery Center manufacturer Boeing in Seattle. The celebration marked the third delivery of the 737-800 to Nok Air, after a direct purchase with the North American manufacturer. "We are extremely pleased to welcome a new 737-800s to our entire fleet by Boeing," said Patee Sarasin, CEO of Nok Air. Air Europa and SMBC Aviation Capital celebrated in ceremony held today (March 15 th ) together with the manufacturer Boeing North Charleston, South Carolina delivery of the first Boeing 787 Dreamliner carrier. Air Europa has leased its first 787 through an agreement with SMBC Aviation Capital. Delivery is also the first Dreamliner to SMBC Aviation Capital. Boeing Starts Higher Assembly Stage of the First Boeing 787-10

Boeing Commercial Airplanes began the largest assembly of the first Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner. This will be the recent and important milestone in the development of the newest member of the family 787. Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd., a partner of Boeing, began installing the circular frames in the fuselage midforward section on March 14 th , a total of two weeks before the predicted. Photos © Iron Maiden and Iron Maiden 666 Last Saturday (March, 12), the Boeing 747-400 leased by the band Iron Maiden, dubbed "Ed Force One" had an accident with a tractor in Comodoro Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport in Santigo, Chile. The aircraft was being refueled before flying over the Andes in Cordoba where the band performed the recent show in this last Sunday (March, 13). During transport, the fork (part of the mechanism that connects the trailer to the aircraft) is released. The trailer severely broke the fairing, two engines and wounding two trailer operators. The two operators were taken to hospital. The engineers have been on site assessing the damage, and they said the aircraft will undergo a long period of maintenance and will need two new engines. United Airlines Announces Fleet Update

United Add 25 New Boeing 737-700s and Announces the Retirement of Boeing 747. United Airlinesyesterday (March 8, 2016) announced an order to purchase 25 new Boeing 737-700 aircraft. The order is in addition to the previously announced order of 40 737-700s. United will take delivery of the aircraft beginning at the end of 2017.
