Air India and ALAFCO just signed an operating lease for 14 A320neo aircraft. The request was made official in India Aviation 2016 which is taking place in Hyderabad, India – International aviation fair started yesterday (March, 16) and ends on the 20th.
With this agreement the A320neo will offer to Air India a reduction of 15% in fuel consumption, noise reduction and environmental impact, offering its passengers the best in class comfort.
Today Air India operates 66 A320 Family aircraft, including 22 Airbus A319s, 24 Airbus A320 and 20 A321. Air India was the first airline in India to operate the A320 for 27 years.
